• Installing and fixing together prefabricated steel girders, pipework, and sections to make a steel framework.
• Planning in which order to fit the steelwork together, following the plans drawn by engineers
• Lifting and guiding components into position with tower cranes
• Lining up and levelling steelwork before bolting or welding it in place
• Operating hand and power tools

• At least 3 years of experience in similar jobs
• Knowledge of the shipyard or the construction industries
• Good level of physical fitness
• Confidence to work at height
• Valid occupational safety certificate – VCA
• Valid IPAF certificate
• Manual Handlin and Working at Heights certificate – preferred
• Basic English conversation level – mandatory
• Good team working skills
• Driving license - preferred
• European Union valid ID - mandatory
